EQT is seeking an experienced, self-motivated human resources professional who is a proven independent critical thinker and communicator to be a strategic business partner to assigned business unit/shared services functions. The successful candidate will interface extensively with employees at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders, and will be responsible for performing a wide range of human resources activities.
Responsibilities include the following:
Provides human resources generalist support for assigned business unit/shared services functions by identifying the problem and developing and implementing timely and practical human resources solutions to achieve desired business results;
Conducts thorough and objective internal workplace investigations and recommends appropriate course of action/resolution;
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Proactively works with employees and managers to identify potential issues and/or trends in the workplace and develops and deploys solutions for those complex issues;
Maintains in-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations as they relate to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance;
Provides day-to-day employee relations/performance management guidance to managers/supervisors (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action, etc.);
Interprets and provides advice on policies, practices and procedures;
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructurings, workforce planning and succession planning;
Assists in implementing broad-based human resources initiatives including the annual performance evaluation process, compensation planning, talent management, etc.; and
Other human resources or business specific tasks/projects as assigned.
This position will require up to 50% travel to our various sites.
Demonstrated ability to work independently utilizing sound judgment in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment;
Strong conflict management, interpersonal and negotiation skills;
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence all levels of management with data and facts;
Ability to develop strong, balanced and trusting relationships with the corporate human resources group and the client group in order to gain support and achieve results;
Ability to be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels; and
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources management or related field.
A minimum of 4 years of HR Generalist experience
Relevant industry experience preferred.
MA/MS/MBA/JD or other advanced degree preferred.
