Perform technical and analytical work to support the short- and long-term development of the Company’s production assets, coordinating with a variety of functional groups throughout the organization to provide visual and statistical maps and reports.

Job Duties

  • Demonstrated experience using Esri ArcGIS desktop software with a proven ability to perform data entry and digitization. Some experience working with GPS and CAD files may be required as is excellent ability to create maps based on user requirements. 
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Job Functions

  • Development and maintenance of topologies; data creation/editing/conversion
  • Regular map creation for groups throughout the organization
  • Spatial Analysis/mapping/modeling/reporting
  • Image rectification/georeferencing and image manipulation  
  • Provide user support for GIS web application.
  • Prepare digital data products for export
  • Geodatabase QC/QA for access road datasets and Water Zones
  • Regular editing in a versioned environment for new pads, fresh water sources, disposal and recycling facilities
  • Establish and validate water route forecasts including access roads, bonded routes, and route times for use in the Optimization model and future $/ bbl mile calculations

  • Create and maintain the digital Traffic Control Plan (TCP) including curfews, bonded routes, etc. in GIS and other supporting software such as Geotab

  • Support of Water Group GIS initiatives regarding scheduling and current/ future IT applications


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in geography, GIS or related field
  • At least one year of hands-on experience and demonstrated proficiency with ESRI GIS software strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
