EQT has a Midstream engineering internship opportunity available for the summer of 2018. Students will be given two to three projects during the summer and will be expected to make an executive presentation at the end of the internship term. 

Duties vary depending on area of focus and may include:

  • Performing engineering and statistic functions related to the natural gas business

  •  Providing support to the system modeling group, compiling and analyzing data for various studies, evaluating new and existing technologies to improve operations, and implementation of various projects

  • Developing pipeline system models and analyzing the effect on the gathering and distribution system

  •  Developing process improvements, writing and compiling procedures and standards, and implement computer technology

  • Observing field operations; compressor stations, pipline and misc. midstream field assets

  • Tracking and analyzing compressor and pipeline performance to determine optimum operating conditions

  • Preparing programs and costs estimates for various field operations work

  • Analyzing volume and performance data relative to forecasts to help understand variances to the business plan

Qualifications:

  • Successful candidates must have completed a minimum of their freshman year in college pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical or other engineering related field

  • Working knowledge of MS Office software; modeling and/or mapping experience a plus

  • Ability to apply basic engineering principles

  • Possess analytical and problem identification/resolution skills

  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or above
