The Continuous Improvement Specialist will work with various departments within EQT Production Company to identify, implement, and track sustainable improvement projects throughout the organization.  Responsibilities include:

  • Effectively identify projects or potential projects for EQT Production independently and sell project benefits to management
  • Implement improvement projects in the organization through work process re-design or improvement, coordinating across functions to optimize results and ensure a smooth transition to business owner
  • Facilitate the most complex projects; teach coaches and mentor individuals and teams to build improvement capabilities
  • Motivate and work well with all levels of the organization to ensure that transition to management is smooth and effective
  • Build strong relationships and trust at all levels of the organization
  • Extract and analyze data from databases or other tracking mechanisms for use in analysis or metrics to support decisions
  • Implement data collection mechanisms in areas where additional data is required for process analysis
  • Assist areas of organization with the development and implementation of metrics to ensure sustainable improvements
  • Act as a change agent, systematically driving continuous improvement and operational excellence methodologies and change throughout the organization

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to analyze data, identify issues, develop improvements and implement solutions
  • Ability to identify and apply appropriate operational excellence or lean/six sigma principle to solve complex business problems
  • Comfort and ability to work independently and set vision and strategy on projects
  • Ability to manage, lead and influence people and projects without direct authority
  • Strong time management skills – able to set and meet aggressive deadlines for self and for project team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of Business Process Modeling concepts and components and their respective application
  • Ability to observe and provide constructive performance feedback
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to grasp business concepts quickly and translate into technical solutions
  • Must possess strong analytical skills, creative thinking, ability to think beyond scope of current role
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills and ability to identify root causes of problems and synthesizes effective practical solution approaches, implementing these solutions under the tactical pressure of producing a plan
  • Strong experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SharePoint, relational databases

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
  • 0-2 years of related work experience that demonstrates quantitative skills and an ability to perform a variety of project management functions
  • Experience in Six Sigma, Lean or other improvement methodologies (Green or Black Belt Preferred)
  • Master’s degree in business administration or a related field a plus
  • Oil and gas industry experience a plus
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
