The Lead Systems Analyst – Midstream Applications evaluates and aligns technology with business strategy while integrating company processes with the appropriate systems and support models. The individual will establish strong relationships with the Functional, Technical, and External Partners that will drive value across the organization through efficient, innovative and proactive project management. This position requires a dynamic and technically proficient individual that has the ability to define and analyze requirements and participate in the development and implementation of solutions to meet short-term and long-term goals. This is a “hands-on” position requiring technical skills to enable solutions that meet the business requirements.
Works closely with both the functional, technical, and vendor teams to create and implement industry leading solutions.
Identifies project stakeholders and defines requirements and expectations.
Collaborates with team members and leaders across division on strategic initiatives.
Participates and delivers on all components of the SDLC that includes: Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Maintenance.
Complies with IT Security and Governance best practices and standards.
Researches and/or implements requests for proposed system and architectural changes.
Leads technology initiatives and drives them to completion.
Stays abreast of and promotes application, database and infrastructure technology advances beneficial to EQT.
Perform system capacity and availability studies, analyze current and future business needs and develop and implement system roadmaps to achieve a stable and reliable application environment.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including process maps, data flows, infrastructure diagrams, and installation and configuration procedures.
Manages vendors and works with a team to accomplish projects and deliver customer service and support.
Demonstrates commitment to business partner satisfaction.Responds with a high level of professionalism and urgency.
Drives down costs through continual process improvements, team efficiency, automation/optimization, technology advancements and vendor negotiations.
General application/technology knowledge, experience, and expertise in the following areas:
Application Design and Development experience (C#, .NET, SQL Server, Oracle, Java, SSIS, SSRS, and VSTS).
Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, SOA, middleware/integrations, LAN/WAN services, server technologies, virtualization, enterprise scheduling and operating systems.
Architecture and System Design principles for High Availability/Recovery.
Familiarity with Mobile Technology Frameworks and Development (iOS, Android).
Familiarity with Service Management Frameworks (ITIL, ITSM).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong customer relationship skills.
Self-motivated, with ability to prioritize and multi-task across multiple projects.
Excellent skills in critical thinking and analysis; meeting facilitation and interpersonal interactions.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field/equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and managing multiple applications within IT.
Self-motivated, takes ownership and has the ability to work with little definition and without supervision while multi-tasking across a number of projects and initiatives in a team setting.
Proven experience implementing, creating, upgrading, and maintaining multiple applications within a mature enterprise environment.
Experience in documentation, presentations, and project management tools.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Project Management experience.
Oil & Gas industry experience is a plus
